BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Detail

The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, prepares engineers for success and leadership in the conception, design, implementation, and operation of aeronautical and related engineering system. We achieve this through our commitment to education excellence, creation, development, and application of technologies critical to aeronautical vehicle and information engineering; and to the architecture and engineering of complex high performance systems.

BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Duration

AME with B.E.(AME) with course duration is 4 years. The academic knowledge will be gathered at our institute and live training will be held in flying environments such as Airlines, MRO etc. After completion of the academic programme, the candidate has to undergo practical training for where The four-year Aeronautical degree programme is designed to satisfy the demands of the aviation industry. It is also concerned with the science and practice of air and space flight, design, development, testing and production of Aeronautical vehicles, the maintenance and operation of aircraft and in aeronautical research.

BE Aeronautical Engineering Course Eligibility
  • A candidate must pass in the 12th with a minimum of 50% (other state student) or 45% (Tamil Nadu student) average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
  • For Backward class/SC/ST /MBC/DNC from Tamil Nadu can take admission with minimum 40% average percentage in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • For lateral entry: A candidate must pass with prescribed minimum 50% eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in mechanical, production, robotics, automobile, and Metallurgy branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course.

Hostel

The Department also organises EASA Licences in association with Europien Lankan Pacific Aviation, Srilanka and Airwirks (DGCA Approved MRO at Hosur. Also the department supports for the students to get AME Licences.

The Department is actively involved in DRONE Training, Piloting and Licences. We are moving towards IATA Course franchise.
