This phenomenal growth in the aviation industry in India has resulted in developing a huge market for civil and private airlines. This in turn is creating a great demand for AME.

Realizing the fact, education is the only media through which technological requirements of the nation are fulfilled; Chairman Mr. Anshul Sharma founded the Wingsss College of Aviation Technology (WCAT) at Warje, Pune in 2006. WCAT is widely applauded as an ideal, modern institution in the field of aviation science, and has been set up to bring about a Quantum improvement in the standards of Aircraft Maintenance.

Aircrafts

The institute owns three aircrafts for Practical training FOKERF 27 MK500-52 seater aircraft, ISKARA, PUSHPAK and HELICOPTER.

Airport Ground Staff are people who work at airports and perform different duties associated with aircraft arrival, departure, and maintenance. These people are essential to maintaining the efficiency of air travel overall and the seamless running of airport operations. Also known as Ground Crew, Ground Staff are a significant part of the Aviation industry.

Duration Of Airport Ground Staff

Airport Ground Staffis a 12 month course. This course enhances your personality as well as communication also. This course is designed to cover all aspects of airport ground handling as well as grooming your personality.

Eligibility Criteria Of Airport Ground Staff

The eligibility criteria of the airport management is given below :-

  • The candidates must passed 12th with any stream.
  • The students must passed 10+2 with any recognised board.
  • Candidates must not have color blindness and any physical disabilities.

Facilities

  • Engine Shop

    Engine Shop is equipped with two Rolls Royce Avon Engines with the facility for demonstration of ground run-up of engine.

  • Airframe Shop

    Airframe shop is well equipped with flight control mock-up, Hydraulic and pneumatic system components, leading gear systems, etc.

  • Computer Labs

    We have designed our Computer Lab for Advanced Computing. It is fully equipped with 30 latest configuration PCs, Printers, Scanner, etc.

  • Electrical Lab

    DC generator and pit checking mock-up. Mock-up for checking the output of a single phase and three phase meter.

Hostel

Catering to the needs of outstation students Institute has offered Hostel accommodation with equally efficient mess facility in some of the hostels. Separate hostels are provided for Boys and Girls. Minor variations may be there from hostel to hostel. Medical facilities at the Institute recommended hospitals are available at concessional rates.
