Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Course Syllabus in India

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) course syllabus is design and structure by DGCA, Under Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. AME syllabus will be based on the category of license opt by the student. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is the branch of engineering which deals with the safety and security of aircraft.

Here are the following licenses that can be selected by the student based on their interest which are:

  • B1.1: This license holder to issue the certificate for release of aeroplane with the jet engine and perform the maintenance, repair, and solve the problems of parts of aircraft such as landing gear, fuselage, engine, etc.
  • B1.2:  This licensed AME has to issue a certificate for the release of aeroplane with the piston engine and perform the maintenance, repair, and resolve the problems of parts of aircraft such as landing gear, fuselage, engine, etc.
  • B1.3:  This licensed AME has to issue a certificate for the release of helicopter with the jet engine and perform the maintenance, repair, and work out with the problems of parts of aircraft such as landing gear, fuselage, engine, etc.
  • B1.4:  This licensed AME has to issue a certificate for the release of helicopter with the piston engine and operate the maintenance, repair, and solve the problems of parts of aircraft such as landing gear, fuselage, engine, etc.
  • B2: This license holder has to issue the certificate for release to service the electrical, navigation, instrumental, and radar system of the aircraft. This branch of AME is commonly known as Avionics.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Modules:-

Aircraft maintenance Engineering modules comprises of 17 modules. At the time of counseling, candidate decide which stream is chosen by them. To get the license candidates have to clear the modules according to the stream.

You have to clear 11 AME modules by getting 75% in each module. The AME modules will be conducted thrice a year.
